# Professional services

> How consulting and services teams use Hops to deliver client work faster without losing the context between engagements.

Professional services teams run complex, high-stakes client engagements and lose enormous amounts of time re-explaining context at every handoff and transition. Hops gives each engagement its own shared context, and keeps it.

## What professional services teams use Hops for

* **Client context management**: everything about a client lives in one Space. New team members onboard in minutes, not days
* **Deliverable drafting**: draft consulting deliverables, reports, and decks from project context and connected docs
* **Meeting prep**: prepare client meetings from the full engagement history without manual review
* **Status reports**: draft weekly or monthly client status updates from project threads and task trackers
* **Knowledge reuse**: surface relevant work from past engagements to speed up similar work today

## Example workflows

**New engagement kickoff**

> Create a client Space. Pin the SOW, the client brief, and your engagement methodology. Your agent answers questions about the engagement from day one. New team members don't need a two-hour handoff call.

**Deliverable draft**

> Three weeks into an engagement, you need to produce a recommendations report. Ask the agent to draft a first version from the discovery thread, client interview notes, and your methodology doc (pinned). Review, edit, present.

**Client status report**

> Set up a weekly automation: your agent pulls last week's activity from the project tracker and draft notes, and produces a client-ready status update. Review and send.

## Recommended setup

**Spaces:** One Space per active engagement. Archive Spaces when engagements close (don't delete, the context has reuse value).

**Tools to connect:** Google Drive or SharePoint (engagement docs, deliverables, client materials), your project management tool (task and timeline status), your time tracking tool (for resource context).
