# General settings

> Theme, notifications, and personal preferences.

General settings cover your personal preferences and workspace defaults. Access them from the **Settings** icon at the bottom of the left sidebar, then click **General**.

## What you'll find here

The General settings page has two main sections:

### Theme

Choose between light and dark mode for your Hops workspace.

### Notifications

Toggle your notification preferences on or off. Notifications keep you informed when something needs your attention: an agent's output is ready, someone mentions you, or an action needs your approval.
